The Mind Controls the Body
The mind is a powerful thing but we need to continue to challenge ourselves and nourish it correctly. It is important to maintain a positive mental attitude. If you are focused on anything that is negative, e.g., pain, you create a negative feedback loop and will continue to have more pain. In order to feel better and to have improvement there must be change. A change in the negative feedback breaks the continual cycle and improvement is achieved. I am a very strong believer in the power of your mind and your ability to choose to be happy or sad. Randy Pausch, a professor at Carnegie Mellon, was dying of cancer and had a final lesson called "The Last Lecture". There were many good thoughts in that lecture. The one thing that really stood out to me is, you can decide to either be an Eeyore or a Tigger. Hopefully that makes sense but my advice is to go on youtube.com, search "The Last Lecture" and watch it. Another good concept that you can watch and rent at any video store is the "Secret". Maintaining a good positive mind set, keep your mind active, challenge your mind, feed it proper nutrition, and focus on the goals you want to achieve and success witll be there.
